Raising Money for the Cancer Council: A Successful Mini Session Photoshoot Day!

As a Brisbane-based family photographer, I am always looking for ways to give back to the community. When the opportunity to raise money for the Cancer Council presented itself, I knew I had to take it. I decided to hold a day of mini session photoshoots at my Bayside studio in Mount Cotton to raise funds for this worthy cause.

The idea behind mini sessions is to offer shorter, more affordable photoshoots for clients who may not have the budget or the time for a full session. It's a win-win situation because clients get professional photos at a fraction of the cost, and I can book several sessions in one day.

Our goal of $1,000, which I thought was ambitious but achievable. The response was overwhelming. Not only did we reach our goal of $1,000, but we exceeded it by $1000! It was heartwarming to see so many people come together to support such an important cause.

In addition to raising money for the Cancer Council, the mini session day was also a great opportunity for me to connect with new and return clients. Many of the families who participated in the mini sessions have since booked me for full sessions, and I'm grateful for the chance to capture their memories.

Overall, the mini session day was a huge success. I'm proud to have contributed to the Cancer Council's mission of improving cancer research, prevention, and support. As a family photographer, it's important to me to use my skills to make a difference in the world. I look forward to organising more events like this in the future and continuing to give back to my community!

Take a look at some of the beautiful families we captured on the day!
